👋 Welcome to 1,399 (🤯) new readers this week.

If you're new here:

This is the newsletter where I share the
best self-development info, tools, and tips each week to help you live a happier, healthier, and wealthier life.

Let's get started.

1. 🤖 The best ChatGPT resource I've seen - Cheat Sheet from Zain Kahn

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of ChatGPT.

But this cheat sheet was too good not to share:

Don't get me wrong.

I think ChatGPT is great for certain things:
- Idea generation
- Summarizing long articles
- Helping with research

But I still think it has a long way to go before it's replacing actual humans for most creative work.

2. đź’» 5 Chrome extensions I couldn't live without (nothing sponsored, I just genuinely love them)

1. đź’¤ Tab Snooze - Save articles, videos and todos for later

Avoid the dreaded tab-pocalypse.

This extension helps keep my work sessions streamlined and focused. Simply snooze any tabs that you want to return to later, and Tab Snooze will reopen them when you need.

2. ✍ Language Tool - Checks your grammar and spelling automatically

Honestly, I don't know how I functioned before I had this.

It catches errors, suggests improvements, and has a built-in synonym finder. If you spend any time writing on your computer, this is a must.

3. 🍅 Focus-To-Do - Pomodoro Timer + To do list

The Pomodoro technique changed everything for me. It was the first productivity tool I really started using, and I still think it's one of the best. Breaking up your time into focused chunks is simply a good idea. This extension is great for that.

4. ❌ BlockSite - Website blocker

These next 2 go hand-in-hand. BlockSite is pretty self-explanatory. You make a list of sites/words you want to block—and it does it.

I use this mainly to block any kind of pornography or sexual content, as I've struggled with that in the past.

5. ⏳ StayFocusd - Limit access to websites

StayFocusd is great for limiting access to sites that you want to visit, but not spend all day on.

For me, it's YouTube. An amazing resource, but too often I find myself going down rabbit holes and losing huge parts of my day.

3. ⏩ Why you should consume content at 2x speed - Study from UCLA

A recent study from UCLA showed that participants retained nearly the same amount of information when watching a lecture at 1x, 1.5x, and even 2x speed.

If the 2x speed participants were able to revisit the video again before a test, they even performed better than the 1x speed group.

This indicates that it could be a better use of time to watch a video at 2x speed, and schedule another viewing at a later time, rather than watching it once at 1x speed.

For me personally, I listen to podcasts, non-fiction books, and informational YouTube videos at 1.5x speed (2x makes me uncomfortable).

When it comes to things where I believe the pace is important to the message, I don't speed it up (movies, music, fiction books).

4. đź’° 42 Recession Proof Money Hacks - video from Alex Hormozi

YES. I like Alex Hormozi's content. SUE ME.

But really, I just feel like this dude packs massive value into all of his stuff.

You can tell someone is intelligent when they can explain complicated things in simple terms, something Alex is amazing at.

Also, speaking of watching content at 1.5x speed—I've already watched this video twice at 1.5x speed.

And now I'm watching it a 3rd time for this summary:

  1. He who gives the money, has the power
  2. Never trade reputation for money
  3. Money loves speed, wealth love time, poverty loves indecision
  4. We can always make more money than we need
  5. Fortunes are made by taking a lot of risk with a little bit of money, fortunes are maintained by taking a little risk with a lot of money
  6. Money flows where attention goes
  7. Your home life & business life have to be aligned money-wise
  8. Ignore money advice from poor people
  9. It's always easier to buy than to sell
  10. Money sticks and goes to the person who pays it the most attention
  11. We stay poor until we learn the lessons that poverty has to teach
  12. Frugality drives innovation
  13. Think once before investing, think twice before spending
  14. Money flows to the person who needs it least
  15. We make money, our money does not make us
  16. It may be an amazing opportunity, but not OUR opportunity
  17. Control the money flow wherever possible
  18. Always have an 'oh shit' fund
  19. The biggest killer of wealth is ignorance
  20. You get paid for the (value you create) x (your ability to negotiate) / (how hard you are to replace)
  21. Mistakes love a rushed decision
  22. Leverage comes from needing nothing
  23. Markets take longer than you expect to adjust
  24. Money is a game, see it as such
  25. Don't bet the empire for a pot of gold
  26. Always do a starter deal with new faces
  27. Trust is worth more than a bigger return
  28. Money is not a zero-sum game
  29. Never take the standard deal
  30. Expect low-risk amazing returns
  31. Don't think in IRR
  32. Diversification is a hedge against ignorance
  33. Part of 32
  34. Returns are in the terms
  35. Whenever possible, use house money
  36. Always know how to get your money back
  37. Cash flow is king
  38. Buy for forever
  39. FOMO means "go slow"
  40. If you can't afford to lose the money, don't use the money
  41. Peace of mind can be bought & sold
  42. Think about diversification vertically

I highly recommend watching the video to get Alex's explanations for each point.
