Read online / Read time: 4 minutes

Hello friends!

Welcome to 1% Better.

The newsletter where I share my 5 favorite ideas, lessons, and discoveries of the week—no fluff, just the good stuff.

Let's get right into it.

A 2026 goal tracker I built for you!

It's back!!

For the last 3 years, I've been sharing a comprehensive goal/habit tracker with my readers.

Not many changes this year, but only because I was super happy with how the last one turned out.

Anyway, it includes:

  • Wheel of Life assessment
  • Weekly/Monthly/Yearly goal tracking
  • Daily habit streaks
  • Habit strength for individual habits
  • Daily reflection questions
  • End-of-year reflection questions

You can grab it here:

(Make a copy, and you're good to go.)

A better way to set goals (backed by 27 studies)

Speaking of goals...

As you set yours for 2026, keep this in mind:

Focus on the behavior more than the outcome.

This makes sense when we think about it. You can't always control your results, but you can always control your actions.

Outcome goals ask: What do I want?
Behavioral goals ask: What will I do consistently?

Here's what this might look like in practice:

Outcome goal: Lose 20 pounds
Behavioral goal: Strength train 3x/week and hit 10k steps daily

Outcome goal: Write a book
Behavioral goal: Write 500 words every morning before checking email

An AI tool that changed how I worked in 2025
Sponsored

Wispr Flow was one of my favorite discoveries of 2025.

It's a voice-powered AI keyboard that turns whatever you say into clean, well-punctuated text. It works in Slack, Gmail, Notes, and anywhere else you write.

Why I love it:

  • No filler words or awkward transcriptions
  • Learns your go-to phrases, names, acronyms
  • Quiet mode = no awkward stares when you’re dictating in public
  • Syncs with your computer for easy note-taking

Try it out for free right now.

A meal prep hack that blew my mind - A Revolution in Meal Prepping...

It's kinda crazy.

Humans have been cooking for thousands of years, and somehow we're still finding new ways to do things.

This recent trend of "food cubes" caught my eye and is something I'll be trying out in 2026.

Let me know what you think.

A reminder about the power of small actions

This is the kind of energy I want to carry into 2026.

😂

Have a great week and Happy New Year!

P.S. I started a private members club for people looking to build their personal brand on LinkedIn. It’s co-founded with Ben Meer & Jade Bonacolta (3.2M+ combined audience).

Our next cohort starts on January 26th. We have limited spots, and they always sell out. Treat yourself to one last write-off for 2025.
