Speaking of things that make me more productive. Shortform is an indispensable part of my learning system. It helps me revisit big ideas, refresh key takeaways, and actually apply what I’ve learned from nonfiction books—without rereading 300 pages. These are handwritten book summaries. Crafted by real people who know how to distill complex ideas into something clear and actionable (no AI fluff). The library is massive (1,000+ books), but I recommend starting with one of these three: If you want to learn faster, retain more, and make your reading habit pay off: Try Shortform FREE + get 20% off a membership with my link. A must-read article from Justin Welsh - My complete $10M journey (all 23 steps)To sum up this article in one sentence: The most knowledge per word of anything I've read this year. If you don’t know Justin, he’s built a $10M+ one-person business from scratch: entirely online, without a team, and with zero paid ads. What I love most about him—he holds nothing back. No vague advice. No gatekeeping. If you have any interest in building an online business, this is one of the most valuable breakdowns you’ll find. I’d be doing him a disservice trying to summarize it here. Just go read it. You won’t regret it. A game changing way to use ChatGPTFriends, I'm in love (gasps and cheers). Seriously though, I feel like this feature is massively underrated. Here are 3 of my favorite use cases:
While cooking: This is a total game changer. Anytime I’m making a new recipe, I keep a voice chat open so I can ask questions as I go—substitutions, timing, technique, whatever I need. And if you want it to feel like Hell's Kitchen you can tell it to speak with a British accent and hurl obscenities at you.
While travelling: I used this in a museum in Amsterdam to learn more about the paintings I was seeing. It was like having a personal tour guide in my pocket.
While learning something new: I use it to practice Spanish by holding full conversations. I’ll ask it to speak slowly, correct my grammar, or quiz me on vocab mid-walk. It’s way less intimidating than speaking to a real person, and way more effective than Duolingo.
😂If you enjoyed this issue, I have a small request:
Have a great week! —Colby
